How I Lost 10lbs in 30 Days Using Only My Brain

The following tips are what I practiced every day for 30 days. Everyone will have different results, but if you are intentional and follow everything, you should see and feel a difference.

This is not medical advice or a miracle cure. You should always use your best judgement and practice sound decision making with regard to your health. This is not witchcraft or bruja or anything else magical and esoteric. This is just the power of the human mind.

For this, I learned about the metabolic process that happens when fat is burned, and from there took a three-prong approach and attacked via body, mind, and soul.

BODY

Be REALLY Intentional with Self Care

  • Once a week, Gua Sha your WHOLE BODY (do your face separately). You can buy a fairly cheap body Gua Sha off Amazon, and use a body oil. You can watch a couple videos on YouTube or IG to learn how to do it properly.

  • Exfoliate your body 1x a week using an exfoliating glove or towel (don't do it on the same day you do Gua sha).

  • Apply moisturizer to your body every single day, and make it a meditative, intentional ritual. Say to yourself over and over how much you love the body part you are massaging and moisturizing (even if you don't think that). The trick is to really feel the emotion behind the words you say to yourself. Caress your body with love (this is not porn, this is unconditional love for yourself).

  • Drink water with lemon every morning before anything else goes in your body - lukewarm water is best - I did 12-16oz of water with a full lemon squeezed.

  • One day a week, intentionally drink as much water as you can (it will make up for the days you don't drink as much).

The goal here is to help get the heavy toxins out of your body that reduces the efficiency and effectiveness of the metabolic process. The Gua Sha, exfoliation and moisturization helps to bring blood to the dermal layers to increase cell turnover, and to facilitate lymphatic drainage.

MIND

Let your Positive Words Speak Volumes to your Body

  • Go to bed every night by telling each body part how much you love it. Start with your right toe and continue all the way up to your head (you will probably fall asleep before you finish). You can alternate starting at different parts in case you can't make it past your knees before you fall asleep. Believe it or not, this is a form of meditation!

  • Wake up in the morning and hug yourself, stretch your body, and envision while you are stretching, all the muscles activating and your cells coming alive with more energy.

  • The mind learns through repetition - the words you say to yourself are more powerful than any words anyone says to you. Your mind will do exactly what it thinks you want it to do and what you tell it to do (and every thought has a physical reaction in the body). Train your self-talk to be more positive - Don’t call yourself fat, ugly, a POS, whatever your self-deprecating choice of word you use, whatever you do.

  • Use the affirmations: my body is so effective that I burn 3x more fat every time I expend energy.

  • Meditate for at least 5 minutes a day. Focus only on your breathing and your heartbeat. Taking slow controlled slow deep breaths in and out (you can try the box breathwork method - where you inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4, and repeat until you can feel your body has received the max benefit).

Here, the goal is to train your mind to think differently about what it thinks about your body so your words (to yourself) can speak as loud as your actions.

SOUL

Invoke Your Higher Self (your self-actualized, enlightened soul)

  • Invoke your higher self to take an active role to assist in "reparenting" yourself into better habits. Make a conscious effort to think twice about what you consume (it's ok to have a 'cheat' day or two, but not three days in a row). When you feel yourself at the threshold of a poor nutrition choice, call in your higher self to step in and make the choice for you.

  • In meditation, invoke your higher self to take an active role to assist in the following function being performed within your body: Focus your attention and envision the adipose (fat) cells in your body. Envision each fat cell wall being permeated, releasing triglycerides (free fatty acids, water and glycerol) to be used as the body's energy source. Once released, the fat cells shrink significantly. The free fatty acids are then picked up by the lymphatic system where it's carried to the circulatory system and processed by the liver to be used as energy throughout the body. This is a metabolic process that happens through exercise, red light therapy, etc. This is where the Gua Sha comes in handy because you're assisting the blood flow to the dermal layers to remove toxins and encouraging lymphatic drainage.

  • Envision yourself already at the ideal weight or shape you want for yourself. Hold that image of yourself every time you look in the mirror, eat, or workout. Be intentional with the words that you use. When manifesting your desire, make sure to use words and phrases that signal that it has already been done. When you use “I want”, you’re signaling to the universe that you don’t have, and that’s what will be returned to you.

The goal here is to use your own spiritual toolkit to your advantage. You're only limited by your imagination.

Here’s the winning tip: GET REALLY INTENTIONAL. Although I focused on the ideal result as already here, I did it in a way that allowed me to still stay present. By allowing myself to stay in the present moment in all that I did (and still continue to do), it helped to avoid anxiety and stress around losing the weight. When I drank water, I envisioned the water cleansing and flushing my system. When I exercised, I was very focused on the specific muscle I was targeting and the movement of the repetition. When I meditated, I spent as much time as I could to visualize the metabolic process happening in my body. And whatever it was that I was doing, I allowed only the focus of those thoughts.

Just have fun with it. It’s not about the end goal, but the journey along the way. If you’re excited to try this approach but need some help, book a consultation with me and we can do it together.
