Sacral Chakra: An Overview

The sacral chakra is the 2nd of the 7 primary chakras and is located in the lower abdomen, just below the navel. It is associated with the color orange and the element of water. The sacral chakra is associated with emotional expression,  creativity, sexuality, and pleasure. It connects the physical world to ourselves. Physically, it governs reproductive organs, lower intestine, bladder & kidneys.

When this chakra is balanced, we are able to express ourselves and our emotions freely and without fear. We feel connected to the physical world and to our bodies, without feeling overly attached to either. We can also experience a healthy sense of pleasure and sexuality, without feeling shame or guilt. When the sacral chakra is imbalanced, we may experience feelings of fear and insecurity, feel disconnected from our bodies or from the physical world around us. We may feel stuck or frustrated in our creative endeavors, or be unable to access our creative impulses. We may also struggle with feelings of guilt or shame around our sexuality and pleasure.

By taking time to balance and nurture the sacral chakra, we can open up to more creativity, pleasure, and emotional expression in our lives. To balance the sacral chakra, practice creative activities that require movement like yoga or dance, focus on cultivating feelings of pleasure and joy, do inner child work, get creative any way you can and foster healthy relationships.

The sacral chakra’s symbol is a six-pointed star. The six points of the star symbolize the six faces of the sacred geometric figure Icosahedron. The Icosahedron also symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things and serves as a reminder that we are all part of something much bigger than ourselves. Sacred geometry is a powerful tool for meditation and can be used to expand your consciousness.

To balance your sacral chakra with sacred geometry, start by focusing on the shape of the Icosahedron at your sacral chakra. Visualize it becoming larger and larger until you feel yourself inside the Icosahedron and imagine yourself surrounded by its energy and its connection to the universe. As you focus on the shape, allow the structure to flow through you and feel it all around you as an extension of you. Feel the pure creative energy of the Icosahedron radiating out and all around you. Allow yourself to relax fully into the container of this shape, floating and immersed. For a deeper experience, infuse your meditation by visualizing the color orange and listen to 288hz or 417hz frequencies.

After you have finished your meditation, take some time to reflect and sit with your experience. Sacred geometry can be used to expand your consciousness and by focusing on the structure, meaning, and subtle energy of sacred geometry, you can open yourself up to the interconnectedness of all things, explore the principles of symmetry and harmony, which can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.
